I work as an artist and art therapist at Thistledown Farm near Lake Oswego,
Oregon. My studio, an old milkhouse, looks out over the back pasture and a
small herd of llamas. My work reflects my love for the Pacific Northwest where
wildness still dwells in the gorges, the mountains, the desert and the sea.

Inner Light Working deep, adding layer upon layer of glass, like glazes in a watercolor, each pendant is individually sculpted and fired a number of times. There may be from 3 to 10 layers of colored, iridescent or dichroic glass in any given piece. Painting with light gives these works of art a mysterious depth and inner light . Glass, perhaps more than any other medium, captures the mysterious essence of light, the enchantment of color. The layered luminosity of my work reflects and evokes both elements of psyche and the natural world. Like fragments of a dream, these opalescent talismen illuminate interior spaces. |
